Matthew Metz, Owner
With over two decades of hands-on experience in construction, Matthew Metz has built a reputation for quality craftsmanship, reliability, and a deep commitment to customer satisfaction. His journey in the trades began straight out of high school with a four-year apprenticeship, leading to a successful career as a foreman specializing in bridges, docks, and superstructures.
In 2016, after 20 years in the industry, Matt founded Woodland Workers with a vision—one that allowed him the flexibility to spend more time with his two young sons while continuing to pursue his passion for building. Over the years, he provided homeowners with custom home repairs, upgrades, outdoor structures, woodwork, cabinetry, and furniture. His favorite part of the job? The challenge and the sense of accomplishment that comes with bringing a project to life.
As demand for his services grew, so did the need for expansion. In 2022, Matt became a licensed general contractor, officially transitioning Woodland Workers into Woodland Builders, Inc. Today, he leads a team of skilled tradesmen and trusted subcontractors, offering high-quality residential and commercial construction services throughout Orange County, the San Gabriel Valley, and the Inland Empire.
